There are many women and children in need of refuge from environments of oppression. At Chrysalis, we’re building a community of intentionally designed businesses purposed to serve them in a holistic loving environment. Our goal is to honor our Creator by establishing economic security for all those involved, returning to a stewarding relationship with His creation and word and answering the call to serve widows and orphans.
Modeled below are the fundamental components of our first community. Each entity will have its own unique character and elements to help it thrive as a profitable business within the local economy. Together, each family of businesses will strive to serve all who are involved; from the one time volunteer desiring to love on our women and child to the greater city, town or village. Once our first community is sustainable the migration will begin and we will look to build another Chrysalis Community where the need is greatest. Only He knows but we hope to migrated all across the globe and helped spread the wings of women and children of every race, religion and culture. Think big and change the world with us!
The Therapeutic Farm
We currently looking for new farm to purchase. We are looking in the Northeast Ohio Area and hope to soon be small farm owners- because everything from apples to zucchini, a barn to the chicks inside it, the Farm, Orchard, Woodland and Pasture will help sustain life and be the economic backbone of our hope. Not only will the Property provide food for those living and working within the outreach but, it will also be a place where the women of our outreach can find a place of worth and contribution. Organic food and livestock raised ethically on a large pastoral property will provide essential nutrition during recovery and could end up providing a profession for restored women. The food produced from non-gmo heirloom seeds will be the foundation all our efforts rest upon. Help us settle Chrysalis’ large pastoral organic farm to Resilient Acres Here
The Pregnancy Care Practice
The heart of our outreach, the Pregnancy Care Practice will be a living bridge from troubled lives to a warm, loving, equipped home of repair and recovery. It will provide women from abusive or unjust circumstances a safe place to be physically repaired and raise their babies from pre-term to after birth but also serve women from the greater northeast Ohio region who have decided to have a home birth. With care provided by Staci Dasher, a midwife with 10 years of home birth delivery experience, her assisting dulas, local doctors and hospitals women will bring their newest child into a new beginning. Functional and Conventional Medicine will offer pathways to prevention and sustainable health. The Pregnancy Care Practice will also provide our unique health care to those who are in need within the greater community. Help provide the care our home of health will provide Here
A Patisserie and Cafe
Where else would our food and passion for it be shared with the locals than a loving place of hospitality and service. Campfire Coffeehouse has gone mobile and is now available to serve your event, market or organization! We hope you can help us take our next step forward by moving this “booth” into a Camper. Providing more than just income, the Camper will be a place women can be restored when ready to meet the world again. We hope this element of our outreach will help us share our story in more places around the greater community all while ensuring to serve responsible and ethical food and drinks. Want to change fast food, be an example of a small local sustainable business and provide a better option at that local event? Help us Here
A Therapeutic Refuge
A space of refuge in near proximity or on the farm property the Yurts, Tiny Homes or Converted Campers will be used three fold. First, as an initial home for the women we take in. This housing will enable them to be restored in relationship and become a restoration head-quarters for their new lives. Second, the spaces will be used for our Therapeutic Farm Stays. Weekend to long term stays purposed to help others battle terminal illness or other debilitating diagnosis’. This will bring in income and be a perfect compliment to our other therapeutic programs! Lastly, the village would be used as a “Harvest Hotel”. During harvests we would convert vacant rooms into a short-term harvester headquarters. People from all over the world will come to help harvest the bounty and be living instruments of service. A unique way to bring others in relationship with our community. Want to stay with us? We need to build it first. Invest Here
Craft and Art Studio
A integral piece to the process, the Craft and Art Studio will serve as a save haven of repair for the women during and after their troubled season. Pottery, painting, glass blowing, music and more will serve as tools in the recovery process. Within this therapeutic environment we hope to bring peace to each woman’s mind, body and soul. This will be aided by encouraging alternative productive outlets which we hope will invoke the change they desire. The artists we find within our midst can, in turn, create unique items we can sell or create tools for use in the Cafe, Hostel, Care Home, School or on the Farm. Support local art Here
Private Agricultural School

As one can imagine children of all ages will be a part of this project. From the previous children of the women we adopt to our very own, there will be a need to educate. Focused on an education built on the building blocks creativity, sustainability, the environment, large pastoral farming and community, our students will never be left behind. A unique curriculum created by experienced educators and applied by the teachers in our midst we will provide children with the education needed to make their dreams a reality. This education will not only be provided to the children, but also to the women who desire a higher education. The school will no doubt become a popular education alternative attracting local families which will provide income and employment. Invest in a sustainable hope for our future Here
